2014 - Looking Back

I knew 2014 was going to be a good year but looking back, it's was pretty damn good!

Radio 1’s Big Weekend - 24th & 25th May

Seeing Glasgow Green turned into a mini festival was incredible! And you could go home every night and not worrying trying to find your tent. Seeing the likes of Coldplay, Ed Sheeran, John Newman and Pharrell for the approx. £5 (ticket delivery fee) was a steal! Weather wise, it was a usual Glasgow day; sun, rain, wind all at once but that didn't stop the music!

Bulgaria via Cardiff - 1st - 8th June

The Happy Viking, Tiki Parties, Old Bulgaria, Local Bakeries and of course, drinking!

Graduation - 24th June

Finally, we made it! BABS students got all formal with our robes and took to the stage to collect our final awards.

Graduation Ball - 28th June

I’m cooler than the red dress! Time to get fancy and hang out in free hotel rooms, mixed in with  having blonde extensions put in and then teared out again, running from hotel to hotel to grab clothes and getting your make up professionally done complete with big rosy cheeks, it was a fantastic send off to the last four years at GCU.

Commonwealth Games

After failing to get a Clydesider role, I ended up getting two roles. One as a retail assistant and a cast performer in the Closing Ceremony. The cast performer role took over my life with rehearsals every day for two weeks straight but all worth it to perform at Hampden Park on August 3rd.

Feeling 22 - 16th August

This birthday was the perfect excuse to sing Taylor Swift. And it is the only chance I'll get!

Sales, Sales, Boxing Day Sales!

It’s been a tradition for a while now that Josie and I venture into the town to brace the people, the queues and the rain for bargains on Boxing Day. But was this years trip worth it? Check out what I got.

Mark Hill - It’s all about the Glam Mirror - Was £20, Now £10. Boots Sauchiehall Street.

With my new flat we have a little mirror in the bathroom that I bring into the living room to do going out make up. While it’s a good mirror and everything, it is quite bulky and I need to angle it depending on the light. This Mark Hill Mirror is perfect as it has LED lights inside, it’s light and you don't need to plug it in! It also has two sides, one with normal magnification and 5x for those extra close eyeliner tricks.

This is something simple to throw over any outfit. Skirt, Jeans, Leggings, it will go with anything. And with a statement necklace as below, I think it works perfectly.

Seventeen Quick Draw Eye Crayons - Was £10, Now £5. Boots Sauchiehall Street.

Instead of taking your whole eye shadow palette on the go, these crayons are perfect for on the go. The four different colours are ideal for different outfits and occasions. My favourite so far is the brown and cream duo. These two colours are subtle for a casual outing with a bit of added glam. Can’t wait to try the darker colours!

I am sure I’ll be picking up more bargains in the next few days once the shops are quieter; hopefully they are as good as these gems!
